Which Rayobyte product should I use?
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish and how much of the process you want to manage yourself.

➡️ Static & Rotating Proxies
What's the difference between static and rotating proxies?
Static proxies keep the same IP assigned to you, which makes them useful when IP consistency matters.
Rotating proxies give you access to a larger pool of IPs and allow the exit IP to change between requests or sessions, depending on the product.
The best option depends on your target, traffic volume, session requirements, and how much control you need over individual IPs.
What's the difference between Data Center, ISP, Residential, and Mobile Proxies?
The main difference is where the IP comes from and how the network identifies it.
- Data Center Proxies use IPs associated with data centers and generally offer strong speed and scalability.
- ISP Proxies combine the consistency of hosted proxies with IPs associated with Internet Service Providers.
- Residential Proxies use IPs associated with real residential devices and provide access to a large, dynamic pool.
- Mobile Proxies use IPs associated with mobile devices and cellular networks.
Visit our Products page for a closer look at each option.
➡️ Authentication & Protocols
How do I authenticate my proxies?
Authentication options depend on the proxy product you're using. Supported products may use username/password authentication, IP authorization, or both.
For the latest authentication methods and setup instructions, see our Proxy documentation.
Do Rayobyte proxies support HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5?
Protocol support depends on the proxy product.
Residential Proxies support HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5. Residential SOCKS5 also supports UDP-based traffic, including HTTP/3 and STUN.
Other proxy products may support a different set of protocols, so we recommend checking the documentation for the service you're using.
For current protocol support, ports, and configuration details, see our Proxy Protocols documentation.
➡️ Locations & Targeting
Can I choose the location of my proxies?
Yes, but the available location and targeting options depend on the proxy product.
Residential Proxies provide the widest range of targeting options, while other products may offer more limited geographic targeting or allow you to select from available static inventory.
For current targeting capabilities and configuration instructions, see our Proxy Targeting documentation.
Why doesn't my proxy location match what an IP lookup site shows?
IP geolocation databases are maintained by third parties, and different providers can report different location information for the same IP.
If location accuracy is important to your use case, we recommend checking the IP with more than one geolocation provider.
➡️ Bandwidth & Connections
Does Rayobyte charge for bandwidth?
It depends on the product.
Static Data Center and Static ISP Proxies include unlimited bandwidth. Residential, Rotating Data Center, Rotating ISP, Mobile, and scraping products use bandwidth- or usage-based pricing depending on the service and plan.
Check our Pricing page for the latest plans and rates.
Do you limit the number of connections I can make?
Connection behavior and practical limits depend on the product and your use case.
If you're planning a high-volume workload, we recommend starting at a reasonable request rate and scaling gradually while monitoring performance.
➡️ Plans, Billing & Payments
What plans are available?
Plans vary by product. Some services are sold as recurring subscriptions, while others are based on bandwidth or usage.
You can view current packages and pricing on our Pricing page or through the appropriate Proxy Dashboard.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes! Available pricing can vary based on the product, package size, bandwidth volume, and billing term.
If you're planning a larger deployment or have specific volume requirements, contact our team and we'll be happy to discuss the available options.
Do you offer free trials or test periods?
Trial and testing options depend on the product and your requirements.
If you'd like to test a service before making a larger commitment, contact our Support or Sales team and let us know what you'd like to test and your intended use case.
Can I get a refund?
Refund eligibility depends on the product, purchase, and circumstances.
Please review our current Terms of Service for applicable conditions. If you believe your purchase qualifies, contact our Support team with your account and order details.
How do I cancel my service?
For recurring services, make sure your subscription is canceled before the next renewal if you don't want it to renew.
If you're having trouble managing a subscription, contact our Support team before the renewal date and we'll be happy to help.
What payment methods do you accept?
Available payment methods are shown during checkout and may vary depending on the product, account, and payment processor.
We recommend checking the checkout page for the payment options currently available for your purchase.
➡️ Proxy Management
Where do I manage my proxies?
Rayobyte uses different dashboards depending on the proxy product.
Residential and other rotating services can be managed through the appropriate Residential Proxy Dashboard, while Static Data Center and Static ISP services are managed through the Data Center & ISP Dashboard.
If you're unsure which dashboard to use, sign in from the Rayobyte website and select the dashboard for your service.
Can I replace a Static Proxy?
Eligible Static Proxy services include replacement options for IPs that are no longer suitable for your needs.
Available replacements and replacement credits can be managed through the Data Center & ISP Dashboard.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my proxy package?
Eligible proxy packages can be changed through the dashboard. Available upgrade and downgrade options depend on the service and package you're using.
If the option you need isn't available in your dashboard, contact our Support team for help.
