When authorizing an IP address in a Rayobyte dashboard, you may see the following errors:

Static Proxy Dashboard

Residential Proxy Dashboard

These errors typically occur when the IP address entered is not a valid public IPv4 address for authorization or does not match what the system expects for your connection.

➡️ Common Reasons This Happens

  • ✔ You entered a local/private IP address
    • Examples: 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, 172.16.x.x – 172.31.x.x
    • These IPs are assigned by your router and cannot be authorized for proxy access.
  • ✔ You entered an IPv6 address
    • Static proxy IP authorization supports public IPv4 only.
    • If your network is IPv6-only (or you’re copying an IPv6 address), IP authorization will fail.

➡️ How to Fix It

  • ✔ Confirm your public IPv4 address by visiting:  https://whatismyipaddress.com/
  • ✔ Ensure the IP is not already listed in your authorized IPs
  • ✔ Avoid using local/private or IPv6-only addresses
  • ✔ If your IP changes frequently, switch to Username/Password authorization
