➡️ Understanding Rayobyte Mobile Proxies
Rayobyte’s Mobile Proxies provide high-quality, 4G/5G rotating IPs sourced from real mobile devices. These proxies are ideal for social media management, ad verification, and mobile web testing.
Important Note: Mobile Proxies are managed separately from Residential Proxies but currently share the same dashboard. Access to Mobile Proxies is granted based on your specific trial or plan. Follow the setup instructions below to ensure correct configuration.
➡️ How Are Mobile Proxies Assigned?
Mobile Proxies are provided based on your **specific plan or trial**. Your allocation may include **only Mobile Proxies** or a combination of **Mobile and Residential Proxies**.
Example Allocation Notice:
"Your trial includes 2 GB of Mobile bandwidth. If you have any questions about usage, please reach out to support."
If your plan includes both **Mobile and Residential bandwidth**, your allocation will specify the limits for each. Your Mobile Proxy details will be included in your welcome email.
➡️ How to Set Up Your Mobile Proxies
✔ Mobile Proxy Format
Use the following format when configuring your proxies:
username123:[email protected]:PORT
✔ Testing Your Mobile Proxy
To verify your proxy is working correctly, use the following cURL command:
curl -x http://username123:[email protected]:8000 https://api.ipify.org
Expected Output: This should return the IP address of your proxy, confirming it's active.
Make sure you are using the credentials exactly as provided. If you experience connection issues, check for typos or reach out to support.
➡️ Bandwidth & Usage Guidelines
- Mobile bandwidth is allocated separately. If your plan includes both Mobile and Residential bandwidth, ensure you track usage accordingly.
- Exceeding your allocated bandwidth may result in connection issues. If you need additional bandwidth, contact your Rayobyte representative.
- Mobile proxies rotate IPs automatically based on network availability. You may experience changes in IP address during extended sessions.
➡️ Troubleshooting Common Issues
✔ Proxy Not Connecting
If your proxy request fails:
- Double-check your username and password for accuracy.
- Ensure you are using the correct proxy endpoint from your welcome email.
- Test connectivity using a basic cURL request:
curl -x http://username123:[email protected]:8000 https://api.ipify.org
- Verify that your trial bandwidth is not depleted. If your limit is reached, proxies will stop functioning.
✔ IP Isn’t Changing
Mobile proxies rotate dynamically based on network availability. However, if your IP remains the same for an extended period:
- Disconnect and reconnect to force a new session.
- Some sites cache IP addresses. Clearing cookies or testing a different site may confirm rotation.
- Ensure your software is not enforcing session persistence, which could keep the same IP active.
✔ Need More Bandwidth?
If you find that your allocated bandwidth isn’t enough:
- Contact your Rayobyte representative to discuss increasing your limit.
- Monitor your bandwidth usage in the dashboard to optimize requests.
➡️ How to Purchase Additional Mobile Proxy Bandwidth
At this time, Mobile Proxies are not available for purchase directly through the dashboard. If you’re interested in additional bandwidth, please reach out to your Rayobyte representative.
Example Message for Interested Buyers:
"Currently, Mobile Proxies are managed separately from our standard Residential service. If you'd like to increase your Mobile bandwidth, please reach out to your Rayobyte representative for details."
