➡️ Getting Started After Purchasing Proxies

After purchasing a Rayobyte proxy service, a few setup steps are required before you can begin using your proxies. The exact process depends on the proxy type you purchased, but the general workflow is outlined below.

This guide applies to: Static Proxies (Dedicated, Semi-Dedicated, ISP, Semi-ISP), Port-Based Rotating Proxies, and Rotating Proxy Services (Residential, Rotating DC, Rotating ISP, Web Unblocker).

✔ Step-by-Step Setup Overview

  1. Access the Correct Dashboard
Rayobyte uses different dashboards depending on the proxy service:
  2. Complete Account Verification (If Required)
Some services require email or account verification before access is granted. If you do not receive a verification message, contact support for assistance.
  3. Configure Locations (Service-Dependent)
Location selection behaves differently by proxy type:
    • Static Proxies: Locations are selected in the dashboard. We recommend using “Mixed” to ensure availability and subnet diversity.
    • Port-Based Rotating Proxies: Locations are predefined by the assigned IP pool.
    • Residential & Newer Rotating Proxies: Locations are selected dynamically via parameters, endpoints, or dashboard settings.
  4. Set Up Authorization
Authorization method depends on the proxy service:
    • ✔ Static proxies support IP authorization and username/password
    • ✔ Port-based rotating proxies use IP authorization only
    • ✔ Residential, Rotating DC, Rotating ISP, and Web Unblocker use username/password (IP authorization may be optional for Residential)

  6. Apply Settings & Allow Propagation
After saving changes, allow up to 5 minutes for authorization and configuration updates to apply.
  7. Test Your Proxy Configuration
Verify that traffic is routing through the proxy using your browser, application, or automation tool. Note that:
    • ✔ Static proxies should show a consistent IP
    • ✔ Rotating proxies will show changing IPs, which is expected behavior
    • ✔ Residential proxies may not appear in a static “proxy list”
