➡️ Overview
Rayobyte’s IPv6 Proxies are private, single-user static proxies, similar in behavior to Dedicated Datacenter (IPv4) proxies, but delivered using the IPv6 address format.
Each IPv6 proxy is assigned exclusively to one customer, meaning the IP does not rotate or change unless a replacement is requested. This makes IPv6 proxies ideal for use cases that require consistent identity, speed, and clean IP reputation.
While IPv4 remains the most widely used standard, IPv6 adoption continues to grow. Because IPv6 address space is significantly larger, IPv6 proxies are often cleaner and less saturated than IPv4 alternatives.
➡️ IPv4 vs IPv6: What’s the Difference?
IPv4 is the traditional IP format used across most of the internet today. It appears as a short, numeric address separated by dots:
Example (IPv4): 192.117.63.126
IPv6 is the next-generation IP standard designed to support the growing number of internet-connected devices. IPv6 addresses are longer and use hexadecimal values separated by colons:
Example (IPv6): 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334
From a proxy usage standpoint, IPv4 and IPv6 function very similarly. The key difference is availability, cleanliness, and site support.
