➡️ Dynamic IPs and Proxy Authorization

If your local internet connection uses a dynamic IP address (one that changes periodically), IP-based authorization may stop working, as your authorized IP can change without notice.

In these cases, using Username/Password authorization is recommended, as it does not rely on your local IP remaining static.

➡️ Authorization Methods by Proxy Type

Rayobyte proxy services support different authorization methods depending on the product. Understanding these differences helps prevent common connection issues.

✔ Static Proxies (Dedicated, Semi-Dedicated, ISP, Semi-ISP)

  • ✔ Support IP authorization and Username/Password authorization.
  • ✔ Recommended for account-based and session-persistent use cases.
  • ✔ Suitable for users with dynamic or static local IPs.

✔ Legacy Port-Based Rotating Proxies

  • ✔ Support IP authorization only.
  • ✔ Require a static local IP address.
  • ✔ Use a static tunnel IP and port that routes traffic through rotating exit IPs.

Note: When testing these proxies, the public IP you see will differ from the tunnel IP. This is expected behavior and confirms that rotation is working.

✔ Residential Proxies

  • Username/Password authorization is the default method.
  • IP authorization is also supported if preferred.
  • ✔ Designed for frequent IP rotation and large-scale traffic.

✔ Newer Rotating Proxy Services

  • Rotating Datacenter (DC) Proxies
  • Rotating ISP Proxies
  • Web Unblocker
  • ✔ Support Username/Password authorization only.
  • ✔ IP authorization is not supported for these services.
  • ✔ Designed for high-volume rotation, automation, and restrictive targets.
  • ✔ Do not rely on static tunnel IPs.

Authorization behavior may vary slightly by product, so we recommend reviewing the specific setup guide for the service you are using.
