➡️ Overview

Rayobyte’s Rotating Datacenter Proxies provide high-speed, stable IPs from top-tier U.S. datacenters. These proxies offer high performance, reliability, and anonymity, making them ideal for web scraping, SEO monitoring, and data aggregation.

Important Note: Unlike Residential Proxies, Rotating Datacenter Proxies do not support geo-targeting. All IPs are sourced exclusively from US datacenters.

To access these settings, log in to your Rayobyte Dashboard.

➡️ Default Proxy Format

By default, a Rayobyte Rotating Datacenter Proxy rotates IPs with every request and follows this format:

username123-DC:[email protected]:8000

Note: The -DC parameter must be added to your proxy username to access the rotating datacenter proxy pool.

➡️ Enabling Sticky Sessions

✔ Step 1: Access Sticky Session Settings

  1. Log in to your Rayobyte dashboard.
  2. ✔ Click "Get Started" under Rotating Datacenter Proxies.
  3. ✔ Locate Sessions Selection and click "Update".

✔ Step 2: Choose Between Soft and Hard Sticky Sessions

  • Soft Sticky Sessions: Keeps the same IP as long as it’s available.
    username123-DC:[email protected]:8000
  • Hard Sticky Sessions: Locks the IP for a fixed duration, even if it disconnects.
    username123-DC:[email protected]:8000

✔ Step 3: Set Your Session Duration

Once you select Soft or Hard sessions, you can specify a duration (1–60 minutes):

username123-DC:password123-session-ABCDEFG-duration-10@la.residential.rayobyte.com:8000

➡️ Retrieving Your Proxy List

  1. Go to Proxy List in your dashboard.
  2. ✔ Click "Show" to view your proxies.
  3. ✔ Click "Download" to save the list.

➡️ Troubleshooting Common Issues

✔ Proxy Not Connecting

If your proxy request fails:

  • Ensure you are using the correct username format with the -DC parameter.
  • Verify your username and password for accuracy.
  • Test connectivity using a basic cURL request:
curl -x http://username123-DC:[email protected]:8000 https://api.ipify.org
  • Check that your trial bandwidth is not depleted. If your limit is reached, proxies will stop functioning.

✔ IP Isn’t Changing

Rotating Datacenter proxies refresh IPs automatically. However, if your IP remains the same for an extended period:

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting to force a new session.
  • Some sites cache IP addresses. Clearing cookies or testing on a different site may confirm rotation.

✔ Need More Bandwidth?

If you find that your allocated bandwidth isn’t enough, you have two options:

  • Purchase Additional Bandwidth: You can increase your bandwidth directly from the Rayobyte dashboard by navigating to Products > Rotating Datacenter > Purchase Bandwidth.
  • Contact Your Representative: If you need a customized plan, reach out to Rayobyte's Customer Success team for assistance.
