➡️ ZIP and Postal Code Targeting Overview
ZIP or postal code targeting allows you to request a Residential Proxy exit IP associated with a particular postal area.
This advanced feature currently requires you to manually add a parameter to your proxy password.
ZIP and postal code targeting will be added to the Residential Proxy Dashboard after the dashboard migration to the new architecture is completed.
➡️ Configuration Format
Append -zip-POSTALCODE to your Residential Proxy password.
Example:
USERNAME:PASSWORD-country-US-zip-43212@la.residential.rayobyte.com:8000The ZIP code shown above is an example and does not guarantee that matching inventory will always be available.
➡️ Test with cURL
curl -x "http://USERNAME:PASSWORD-country-US-zip-43212@la.residential.rayobyte.com:8000" https://ipinfo.io/jsonReplace USERNAME and PASSWORD with your own Residential Proxy credentials.
➡️ Availability
ZIP or postal code targeting can be significantly more restrictive than country, region, or city targeting.
Availability depends on whether a residential device within the requested postal area is currently connected to the Rayobyte network.
If the request does not connect:
- Retry the request after a short delay.
- Remove the ZIP or postal code parameter.
- Try region, city, or country targeting instead.
