➡️ Overview

If you need your proxies to come from a different city, state, or country, you can change their location directly from your Rayobyte dashboard. This guide applies to all of Rayobyte’s Static IPv4 Proxy Services, including:

  • ✔ Dedicated Proxies
  • ✔ Semi-Dedicated Proxies
  • ✔ ISP Proxies
  • ✔ Semi-ISP Proxies

If you’re using Residential Proxies, location is configured differently via geo-targeting:

⚠️ Important: Changing the location of a static proxy requires replacing it with a new IP in the new region. This uses one replacement credit per proxy, just like a standard proxy replacement.

➡️ Before You Change Locations

  • ✔ Each proxy can be replaced using a replacement credit. Your plan includes a matching number of replacement credits (e.g., 100 proxies = 100 replacement credits).
  • ✔ When you move proxies to a new location, the system assigns new IPs from that region. Old IPs are released and cannot be used afterward.
  • ✔ If you are low on or out of replacement credits but still need to change locations, you can contact support to discuss adding more credits.

➡️ Step-by-Step: Changing Your Proxy Location

✔ Step 1: Log In to Your Dashboard

  1. Go to your proxy dashboard:  https://rayobyte.com/proxy/dashboard/
  2. Sign in with your Rayobyte account credentials.

✔ Step 2: Open Location Preferences

  1. On the left side of the dashboard, click Location Preferences.

  2. In the Location Preferences panel, assign your proxies to the new location you want to use.
    • You can choose a specific country/city, or (where available) use a “Mixed” option so the system selects from all locations in that country.
    • Changing this setting updates where new/replaced IPs will be sourced from. It does not automatically change existing IPs until you process a replacement.

✔ Step 3: Go to the Proxy Replacement Page

  1. On the left-hand side menu, click IPv4 Proxies to expand the submenu.
  2. Click Proxy Replacements.

✔ Step 4: Replace Proxies Into the New Location

You now have two ways to move your proxies into the new location:

a) Replace Proxies Individually

  • Scroll through your proxy list.
  • Click the Replace button next to each proxy you want to move to the new location.

Each proxy you replace will be removed and replaced with a new IP from your updated location preferences.

b) Replace Multiple Proxies at Once (Bulk)

If you prefer to move many or all of your proxies to a new location at once, you can use the bulk replacement feature:

  1. Use the Export button in your proxy dashboard to download the full proxy list (or copy the proxies you want to move).
  2. Copy the list of proxies you want to replace.
  3. Paste them into the bulk replacement text area on the Proxy Replacements page.
  4. Click Submit to process the replacements.

The system will then assign new IPs in your chosen location and deduct one replacement credit per proxy.

➡️ How Long Does It Take?

  • ✔ Once you submit replacements, please allow up to 10 minutes for new proxies to be delivered.
  • ✔ After that, refresh your dashboard or re-export your proxy list to see the updated IPs and locations.

➡️ Tips & Common Questions

  • Will changing location affect all my proxies?
No. Updating Location Preferences only affects new and replaced proxies. Existing proxies keep their current location until you replace them.
  • What if I run out of replacement credits?
You can contact our support team to discuss additional replacement credits (often available at a discounted rate relative to your monthly renewal).
  • What if my desired location shows limited or no availability?
Our inventory changes over time. If you don’t see the location you need or are having trouble receiving proxies there, please reach out so we can review current stock or suggest alternatives.
