➡️ Country Targeting Overview
Country targeting allows you to request a Residential Proxy exit IP from a specific country.
You can configure country targeting directly from the Residential Proxy Dashboard or manually add the country parameter to your proxy password.
➡️ Configure Country Targeting in the Dashboard
- Log in to your Residential Proxy Dashboard.
- Click Get Started under Residential Proxies.
- Locate Geolocation Selection and click Update.
- Select your preferred country.
- Save your settings.
➡️ Manual Country Targeting
To configure country targeting manually, append -country-XX to your proxy password.
Replace XX with the appropriate two-letter country code.
Example:
USERNAME:PASSWORD-country-US@la.residential.rayobyte.com:8000The example above requests a Residential Proxy exit IP from the United States.
➡️ Availability
Residential Proxies rely on real residential internet connections, so country inventory may change as devices connect to and disconnect from the network.
Country targeting generally provides wider availability than region, city, ZIP, or ASN targeting.
